It's really happening

THIS is my CAP AND GOWN for GRADUATION! How bizzare is that!! I graduate high school/seminary/CTEC in 1 month and counting! I am so excited and terrified! I can't wait to actually have it on and walk with the rest of the CLASS OF 2012!!

GUESS WHAT I DID!!

Okay, if you cheated and checked my facebook already than you can't guess, but if not then.....I DISSECTED again!! The list continues! Yesterday in Medical Anatomy and Physiology, we dissected A PIG'S HEART. And today, in my CTEC class, my teacher surprised us by getting to dissect A COW'S HEART plus see the LUNGS INFLATE!!! Okay, I am nerding out! I love this stuff it is so cool to me! Let me just say that the cow's heart was sooooo much bigger than the pig's heart! I could fit my fist in the right atrium! We played hide and seek with our fingers sticking them up random tubes and valves to see where they went!
Did you know that heartstrings are real? I didn't. They open and close valves in the hear and they are SUPER STRONG! I could hold up the entire heart with this tiny little string!
Also did you know that a whale's heart is as big as a slug bug CAR??! This is crazy stuff people!
So here is the list of all of my dissections since 7th grade:
1. An owl's pellet (7th grade)
2. A fetal pig (10th grade)
3. A cow's eyeball (12th grade)
4. A sheep's brain (12th grade)
5. A pig's heart (12th grade)
6. A cow's heart (12th grade)

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well, Easter for us started on Saturday actually. I started the day like I usually do on Saturdays at Draper Rehab to do clinics. When I got back, Corinne family came over and we had an awesome Easter egg hunt! Even Elizabeth got to join in on the fun :) My favorite part was the boys opening their eggs up to see what they got. Cute Alex found a few Starbursts in his, and gave me half of them! It was so sweet! I mean, for a kid, that is like giving someone half of your money! It's a big deal people!! He even saved me one when I wasn't sitting with him and my heart melted :) The next day was great as well with church for a whole lot of lessons about the meaning of the day. We also had the traditional Sunday dinner at Gramma Ruth's house. I hope that yours was a great and meaningful as ours was.

YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!

So 2 of my dreams just came true! One of which was to have my California buddies see my life here in Utah. Another one was to be at the Conference Center during General Conference. Yeah, I had a good weekend. 7 of my Cali buds were brought up by their bishopric(aka my brother-in-law) to go to conference. For me that meant a GIANT SLEEP OVER. Yes, party at my house!!! I am pretty convinced that Mom and Dad have gone suicidal to invite 7 additional TEENAGERS into their home for 3 nights. But hey, we can make due. even with the additional bedrooms, by request, we squeezed 5 girls into my room for the night! I am pretty proud myself. They went to the Saturday morning session, priesthood session, and Sunday morning session of Conference. I had the opportunity of going to the ladder!(cool huh!) By my uncle's words General Conference is like drinking from a fireman's hose- there is just so much information to take in! I personally thought it was kind of the anti-mormon protesters to give me a chance to spiritually renew myself before treading through their determined protests! I managed to get about 8 pages of notes(not including Saturday afternoon session) and I only zoned out for 1 talk! This is a pretty monumental moment for me! I love the gospel and going to church(sacrament meeting is my favourite part!) But wow, growing up listening to these men speak is really comforting. I mean that in several ways too! like falling asleep comforting and now spiritually comforting! So, all in all, my conference weekend was simply put: AMAZING!! how was yours?
now off for SPRING BREAK!!!!!
