I had the amazing opportunity to listen to Elaine S. Dalton(the general young women's president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints) along with her husband. They came to my stake for a fireside so this was a special occasion for all of us! She is one of my role models and needless to say, I was constantly taking notes! Brother Dalton who is a temple sealer spoke to us a lot about virtue and temple marriage. He made a point to us about preparing today for marriage. The highlight of his talk was that the spirit did that thing he does and whispered things that Heavenly Father still wants me to do. :) Sister Dalton's focus was for us to remember who we are. She gave us 4 things to do every single day
1. Say prayers every morning and night
2. Read 5 minutes every day in the Book of Mormon
3. Read For the Strength of Youth and commit to live them
4. SMILE every day!
It was so special and I could feel the spirit. One of the best parts is that she tok the time to let all that wanted to meet her and talk to her for a few minutes individually. She never gave the impression that she was tired and none of us ever felt rushed. She was probably there for over an hour after it had ended to personally meet people. :) :)
